    Policy

    Editorial independence is non-negotiable.

This is the contract between MedTech Launch Guide and its readers. If we break it, hold us to it.

    We do
    • Label sponsored content inline at the top of the unit
    • Cite the primary source (FDA database, SEC filing, CMS rule, CISA advisory) on every claim
    • Disclose every commercial relationship that touches a story
    • Correct errors transparently with a dated note
    • Protect sources who share recalls, complaints or enforcement context
    We do not
    • Accept payment to write, kill, soften or schedule a story
    • Show drafts to sponsors, sources or PR before publication
    • Use affiliate links inside editorial content
    • Recommend specific securities, funds or clinical decisions
    • Republish vendor press releases without independent verification
    Sourcing

    Primary sources, every time.

Funding rounds reference the company announcement and SEC Form D where applicable. Clearances reference the FDA 510(k), De Novo, PMA or breakthrough database record. Recalls reference the FDA enforcement report number. CMS coverage references the NCD/LCD ID or rule citation. Cyber advisories reference the CISA or ICS-CERT advisory ID.

When a story relies on a person rather than a document, we identify them by name unless naming them puts them at risk - in which case we describe their role and the reason for the anonymity.

    Sponsorship

Sponsors fund the lights. They do not pick the stories.

Sponsors get a logo, a label, and the right to walk away. They do not get edit rights, pre-publication review, or a veto on coverage of themselves or their competitors.

If we cover a sponsor - including negatively - the disclosure runs at the top of the piece.

    Corrections

    We correct in public.

If we get something wrong, we fix it, log the change with a dated note at the bottom of the page, and - if the error materially changed the meaning - reissue it in the next weekly brief.

Spot something off? Send a correction.
